Fabienne Racing has taken note of Ferrari’s statement, which reaffirms its “total confidence” in team principal Fred Vasseur. The team welcomes a clear statement, made ahead of the Malaysia weekend, on behalf of the chairman and the chief executive.
In the interest of transparency, Fabienne Racing wishes to communicate in turn. On behalf of its chairwoman, its chief executive and its head of communications, the outfit reaffirms its total confidence in its team principal. All four roles are held by the same person, which greatly sped up sign-off of this text.
“Fabienne Racing’s position is clear and has not changed,” says the team principal. “Nobody has called me to replace me, but we don’t wait to be asked the question before answering it. At Fabienne Racing, we have a project. I even voted for myself unanimously, under the gazebo, before the sandwich.”
The team notes that Ferrari are second in the constructors’ championship, 160 points behind Mercedes, and would like the talk in Malaysia to be about racing. Fabienne Racing shares that line: on Sunday at Mariembourg, the kart circuit, the talk will be of tyres.
The brother-in-law’s garage, technical partner, confirmed its confidence by text message. The family chip shop, title partner, will confirm on Monday, closing day.
