Post 14 report. Subject: an announcement that did not take place.
I read the statement on Monday, over the thermos. Most teams have already named their two drivers for 2027. Racing Bulls have not. Three candidates, two seats. Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad already drive for the team. Nikola Tsolov comes from the Red Bull pathway and races in Formula 2.
The team principal, Alan Permane, said: “But obviously, three drivers for two seats doesn’t work.” Noted. That is correct. At the post, we have two chairs and Jean-Luc. Jean-Luc has been standing for thirty years. Nobody has ever given him a date either.
He also said: “I don’t want to give you a precise date. No, that wouldn’t work. Let’s say it will be in the coming weeks. We are in no hurry.”
In the folder, “the coming weeks” does not appear. There is a time, a lap, a flag. I tried the phrase on the radio, to see. “Post 14, yellow flag raised in the coming weeks.” Race control replied “copy”. Copy means we heard. Not that we will wait.
Stated criteria: speed and pace, first. And what the drivers will be capable of in future, not only here and now. I wave the flag on what I see now. The future is for the heated room, usually twenty minutes later.
The team wants to take a little more time to choose the right pairing. I understand. At the post, a pair is two people who take turns with the flag. You don’t pick one on a day when it’s chucking it down.
Post 14, received. Nothing further to report.
It’s true, we checked: Nextgen-Auto.
